Misty L. Collier MA,
LPA,
received her Masters Degree in Clinical/Community Psychology from
UNC-Charlotte in 2003. She is a Licensed Psychological Associate
and Health Service Provider who works with families, couples, and individuals of all ages. She has work experience in a variety of different treatment settings including Inpatient
Hospitalization, Partial Hospitalization, Psychiatric Emergency Room
Assessment, and Intensive Outpatient Treatment. Ms. Collier has
experience treating clients with Depression, ADHD, anger management
problems, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders,
Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Conduct Disorder. Ms. Collier
utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, and Person-Centered models for treatment
and uses recreational therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing,
and cognitive-behavioral interventions to address treatment goals. She also specializes in
parent education/training and behavior contracts for children and
adolescents. |
