Erin
L. McAdams, MA, LPC, CCAS is a Licensed Professional
Counselor with certification as a Certified Clinical Addictions
Specialist specializing in the treatment of adolescents and young
adults. She received her Masters Degree in Community Counseling in
1999 from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Ms. McAdams
has worked in a variety of different settings including substance abuse
treatment centers (methadone programs, intensive outpatient group
therapy, and residential programs), and behavioral health centers
providing treatment for clients with dual diagnoses (combined
substance abuse and mental health concerns). Ms. McAdams also has
experience treating clients with ADHD, mood disorders, adjustment
disorders, anxiety disorders, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder/Conduct
Disorder. Ms. McAdams' therapeutic approach utilizes
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Family Systems Theory,
and Recreational Therapy. |
